General Safety Rules
2009 Racing Season
These rules are set for Davisville Speedway events.
Rules are Subject to change for other events.
1. Enter at your own risk. Not responsible for accidents, injury or
Damage to personal property.
2. No alcoholic beverages or glass containers allowed.
3. Track officials and track owner can refuse any entry at their own
discretion at any time
4. Rules other than what is listed, must be approved by track owner.
5. 4 point harness, fire suits, gloves and full face DOT approved helmets are mandatory in all classes. Helmets must be worn and straps tightened until the pass is completed. No sandals or open toed shoes worn during run.
6. Any licensed vehicle off the street, before entering race, must be inspected for safety. And class requirements by official. (3 pt. harness, fire equipment and helmet.
7. Any vehicle that is not licensed, will have to have battery, fuel tank, and kill switch in back. Kill switch needs easy excess for official to kill all power to truck.
8. Roll bars are mandatory in all classes. All open top vehicles must
have roll cage protection and must have side retainers or doors.
9. All batteries are to be securely fastened and covered.
10. Any object or trash such as can, cups, wrenches or misc. objects
that falls out of a vehicle during run will cause that vehicle to be
disqualified for that pass only.
11. Only one passenger allowed to ride with driver, with approval of driver and has signed a release form. Any one under 18 years of age must have a legal parent or guardian to sign for them.
12. Time limit in pit is 100 seconds after light is broke.
13. No careless or fast driving allowed in the pits or return lanes. No Exceptions!
14. Drivers and passengers must sign a release form.
15. All vehicles must be ready when their class is called. While the previous truck makes his victory lap, your truck needs to be at the starting line for his pass.
16. All flags must be securely mounted to the truck to avoid the chance or them falling out. No American flag will be allowed on any truck while it is in the pit.
17. All vehicles have the option of taking a five(5) minute cool down or break down period. The next vehicle in line will be given the option to run. You cannot call both break down and cool down at the same time.
18. General rules will be present at all times during the races. Any one causing problems, will be ask to leave premises
19. There will be no washing of any vehicle until after your first run, unless you have a breakage. Then and only then you will wash that area only! (Example) axle breaks, clean that area only. NO EXCEPTIONS !
20. A designated area for drivers only will be set up for cleaning off tires.
21. No nitrous, no turbo
22. Electric fuel pumps and fans are allowed in any class.
23. Fire extinguishers are recommended in all vehicles.
24. Driver without a valid drivers license, must have an adult in vehicle to drive or ride.
25. All vehicles must have drive shaft loops. No chain loops.
26. Extended cabs and crew cabs allowed. Body and frame must match.
27. Once a truck and driver starts the race season, he can go up a class but NOT down.
28. After class starts, driver must notify official before raising hood. The winner will be checked for vacuum. If can’t pull vacuum then the winner is disqualified for that night only, and next vehicle in line will be checked.
29. Any vehicle that has not run before will be checked and placed in the class determined by track official.( Vacuum & other spec.)
30.The truck with engine running,) must come to the line and cross, under it’s on engines power.
31. Any discrepancies that arise during the race, that are not covered in these rules will be decided by track owner or officials.
32. If you have any questions that is not listed in these rules, call before doing any changes.
Safety Issue:
1.Removable steering wheels are allowed for safety purposes in all classes
2. All vehicles are subject to a spot check by official at any time
3. Glass can be removed in all classes for safety purposes.
Measuring and timing:
1. All vehicles must go forward until forward progress stops. Do not back up unless asked by an official.
2. Vehicles will be measured at the center of the furthest front hub.
3. If a vehicle runs out of the pit during a run, it will be measured from the point of exit, but not disqualified.
4. If a vehicle turns over during a run, it will be measured from the furthest hub (or where the vehicle exits the pit ) from the starting line.
Winners of pit classes will be determined by the following:
The total of two runs(footage or time) will be added together. This will determine the winner and points standings. Vehicle must break light each run to get it’s full points for that night. Only the top ten trucks and drivers will be posted on the website for points. If you need information on trucks not listed call Charlotte.
Points are calculated in the following manner:
1st } 25 points 6th } 20 points
2nd} 24 points 7th} 19 points
3rd} 23 points 8th}18 points
4th} 22 points 9th}17 points
5th}21 points 10th}16 points
( 11th and below} 15 points )
Weekley Trophies
A fee of $6.00 per truck will be charged for weekly and end of year trophy at time of entry fee. Trophies will go down to 5th place only ( excluding special trophies.)
Triple Crown: & Weekly Trophies
Every 5th race a trophy will be awarded to the driver of triple crown, with the highest points. Anytime there is a tie, on triple crown, drivers will flip for trophy. Tie for first on Weekly trophies money will be split and flip for trophy., and drivers receive same amount of points.
Weekly Pay Out:
Money will pay down to 3rd place. Percentage of 50% 30% 20%

Street 4,6,8
1.Body and frame must be factory stock. No gutting. Minor trimming only. Enter fender must be retained.
2. Factory suspension. Use of a lift kit is okay.
3. Tires must be (dot) approved 36" and under. No cut tires.
4. Engines swaps okay with same number of cylinders. No headers. Must be stock. No big block unless it comes equipped with vehicle.
5. Truck MUST have easy excess to fully hook to front and back for pull out. Clevis or chain can be used if mounted securely and large enough to penetrate.
6. No trans breaks allowed.
7. No stall converters allowed.
8. No fuel injection unless come equipped with vehicle.
9. No electric water pumps.
10. No timing device of any kind.
11. Rear and front ends no wider than factory width. No larger than ½ ton unless factory.
12. Exhaust pipes must be passed cab or above cab.
13. Engine must pull 20 lb. Vacuum @ 800 rpms. 1/4 "nipple must be to where track official can have easy access to hook vacuum gage with out removing any parts.
14. No fuel lines or oil lines of any kind in cab of vehicles except for gauges
15. No after market distributor, ignition, intake, or manifold.
16. Adapter plate no thicker than 1" under carburetor.
Hobbie Class:
Rules same as Street EXCEPT!
1. Engine must pull 18 lb. vacuum@ 800 rpms.
2.Headers with collectors must be behind the cab. No up drafts allowed.
3. No fuel injection unless come equipped with vehicle.
4. Aluminum intake is allowed. No after market distributor or ignition.
5. No fuel lines or oil lines of any kind in cab of vehicle except for gauges.
Modified:
1. Body and frame must be factory stock. (minor trimming on front and rear fender okay, but inner fenders must be retained.
2. Factory suspension. Lift kits okay. Drivers option to run straight front axle with coil or leaf springs.
3. Tires must be( dot) approved. Cut tires allowed. Tires must retain 50% of orginal tread with 44” tire limit. Cutting every other lug allowed NO paddle tir of any sort will be allowed.
4. Single carb. After marketing okay. After market in-take ok. If gas tank is mounted in bed, it must be mounted away from exhaust and must be secured and covered with some type of mat.!!!! Battery may be relocated, but must be secured (no bungee cords ) and covered.
5. Engines swaps okay. NO aluminum heads or blocks.
6. Engines must pull 15" of vacuum@ 800 rpms. 1/4 " nipple must be to where track official can have access to hook vacuum gage without removing any parts.
7. Open headers and up drafts optional.
8. No timing devices .
9. If installing different block, radiator can be moved closer to front. Radiator and motor mount can be relocated to match installment. Fire wall can be modified but kept in it’s original position. Front and rear end swaps okay.
10. Electric fuel pump allowed
11.Truck MUST have easy excess to fully hook to front and back for pull out.
Super Modified
1. Body must be complete, other than items listed, dash, front-inner fenders, hood bracing, tailgates, door panels, all glass, original seats, floor mats/ padding, hood hinges, windshield frames that can be unbolted and bumpers. Radiator may be mounted in rear of truck. Battery may be mounted in rear of truck if secured and covered.
2. No coil over suspension. Air shocks okay but must retain spring leaf.
3. Aluminum heads and blocks okay, but cannot exceed 650 cubic inches.
4. Tires must be (dot) approved. Cut tires allowed. Tires must retain 50% of original tread with 44" tire limit. Cutting every other lug allowed. No paddle tires of any sort will be allowed.
5. Multi carburetor is allowed. Any cam, exhaust and intake may be used. NO NITROUS or HOOK UPS ALLOWED ! No injection. Any other fuel as long as it is in gas tank. This is subject to be checked at any time by track officials or track owner.
6. Engine swaps okay. Engines may be moved to 6 inches from the manufactured spec. Fire wall may be modified to accommodate the move. I.e. A hole may be cut for distributor and build box around it. Firewall must be retained. No engines may be relocated to rear of truck.
7. After market transfer cases are not allowed. Must be factory type.
8. Truck MUST have fully excess front and back for pull out. Clevis or chain if mounted securely and large enough to penetrate.
9. Electric fuel pumps are allowed.
We hope to have a good year for mud bogging in 2008. We welcome any one who wants to join us. Our sport has grown with in these pass seasons. We want to thank each and everyone for their patients and support. Looking forward to seeing you all next season.
